This is what we are after..
James, a collector and player in Oakland, and i are teeming up to see if we cant find out about this material.
It seemed to be the material of choice in the early 60's but went out of favor, and was forgoton, or replaced, never to be used by modern makers to this day.
i love the sound of this wood. I want to see if its extinxt, or just out of favor, for some reason.
it has more sustain than the Luan Gon Bops used,but it retains the dry tone, which is what i love about Mahogany in the first place... the mystery continues...
