Vintage conga blog - rumba blog - 100th post - Great reviews

So this is my 100th post on this Rumba blog project.

The response has been overwhelming. People really seem to dig it. Please feel free to add your comments.

Thanks to all for the encouragement and the friendship.

Also, feel free to contribute - just send me an email with your conga stories, pics, old drums, etc.

Read the latest post regarding Rumba, the Bay area Latin music scene, and info about restoring and playing the Congas.

Thanks again, and I hope this is the first 100 of many.

  1. Hi< I am a percussionist in england and I just bought a pair of vintage congas in need of a serious resto job, just wondering is you (tony) or anyone on the blog may know anything about them. They are made by AMAT of Italy.
If anyone can help I would very happy!

  2. I must say that, on the west coast of the US, AMAT drums are nowhere to be seen. I have yet to play a set. I hear great things about the company from fans over the pond (in Europe)
